If you're developing in C/C++ and you're not using lint, you're missing out on one of the great tools for improving your knowledge of the language. We recommend Gimpel PCLint. If you're too cheap to buy their UNIX version, O'Reilly's book "Checking C Programs with Lint" is the manual that should have come with your UNIX box.
